Here is a poor scan of an old edition of Holt physics. There are some problems involving some fun FBDs here. I will present solutions to #57 and #61. The latter is cut off in the scan, but I will present a general solution for the minimum applied force necessary to stop the block from sliding.

#57 is fun because the Normal force and weight are in THE SAME direction!!

#61 is fun because the applied force is perpendicular to the surface! Ok, it's not as fun as the first problem.

A general solution to #61. This is a solution for the MINIMUM amount of applied force to keep the block from sliding.
